Here's a big project!

Back in summer of this year, I was feeling very bored and unfulfilled. Nothing was satisfying; I just went to work then came home and sat around every day. I needed some kind of challenge, something to really push me to the limits- or, hell, even just figure out what my limits *are* in the first place.

So I came up with a crazy idea. I would give myself until the end of summer - five weeks - to make a nine-track album from start to finish. I could use any unreleased material I had, and employ any production techniques I felt like - time was the only restriction.

But OH BOY, was it a restriction. The fastest I'd ever made a track before was in two weeks from start to finish. With Aspiration, I had to be at least four times faster than that. What's crazy is that I actually managed it - and that I managed to make something with a consistent style all the way throughout!

I'm incredibly proud of this album, and more than a little disappointed that I haven't been around to give it the fanfare I feel it deserves. I'm in university now, and I just haven't yet figured out how to fit in my music work with everything else I have going on. I think I'm going to take a break from making music now, and focus on video production for a while. Perhaps we'll get something fun out of that!
